This Spring the DEC received a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mini grant from the Office of Faculty Affairs for our Citizen Scientist Initiative: Centering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Values through Interdisciplinary Discussion and Dissemination.
The Citizen Scientist initiative aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by fostering harmonization and collaboration among experts and trainees of various disciplines through speaker presentations. The event involved a panel discussion of 4 local, national, and international experts in the psychological, social, and legal issues involving human trafficking in South Florida and beyond.
